This is the place for discussion and voting on various aspects of werewolf life, social ideas, physical appearance, etc. Also a place to vote on how a werewolf should look.

Agreed...I think that is the best summary of the popular, middle ground consensus I've heard so far.
Everyones personal preferences generally vary from this in one way or another, but I think that comes as close as one can to an "Average" werewolf concept, (in terms of popular opinion).
Clear, to the point, and far less excessively verbose than I would have written it. Very nice.
Please Forgive the Occasional Outburst of my Inner Sage ... for he is Oblivious to Sarcasm, and not Easily Silenced.
Scott, the best description I've seen of the Freeborn character. Pretty much on the money.
What do they call themselves? Jack, Donna, Max, Zane, etc. They don't call themselves anything, really. How often do you and your friends refer to yourselves, in particular, as humans? Not a lot. It kinds seems obvious to the people who know you. So in the general course of their lives, they don't really refer to themselves, other than as themselves.
Some of them have blonde hair, some of them have blue eyes, and some of them are jerks and some of them are nice. They are who they are.... furred or smooth.
Me, were I one, I'd be wanting to sing it out in the woods every full moon.

Oooo.....I like how you explain things, Silver.
I am SO glad you, and everyone else involved, knows what they're doing in this project.
ok, im going to look like an idiot for asking but... what ethnic group are they. i mean ethnic as in heritage (ie. irish, german, itailin, and such like that.)
until then all standard werewolf is good.
...or will i just be singing right here by myself. come on down!
Go right ahead, Kaebora. Perhaps I should advocate the term "consensus werewolf" to describe our emergent archetype. Granted, it opens up a forum to debate as to what's consensus and what isn't, and thus the floodgates once closed re-open on a great many things.
As for werewolf nationalities, in Freeborn, the impression I get is that there's a strong Celtic influence. Silver would be more the person to ask, but, since I happen to have seen her and know that she's a Celtic red-head, I think my theory has strong support. Celtic lore certainly has its fair share of shapeshifting, and there's several Celtic heroes that sound awefully lycanthropic--Cu Chullain, for instance, was described at some point as a warrior who in battle underwent a bizarre and terrible transformation. Heck, Fin McCumhail's band of warriors, the Fianna, were made into a major werewolf tribe in a certain role-playing game.
But, as Gerald Wilson will point out during a stand-up comic improv some time around 2030 in my timeline, one of the great things about being a werewolf is that no one even thinks about nationality any more. You stop being black, white, or Hispanic, because people are just a little too busy noticing the fur or the teeth. You can be gay or bisexual, worship Pagan gods to your heart's content, or how about even voting Libertarian? Once they know you're a werewolf, it doesn't matter, because they want desperately either to get bitten or run away, screaming.
Taking a Gestalt approach, since it's the "in" thing...
then i guess the decision is final dont ya think just call them werwolves. better then calling them something else then the people watching will be like what are those i havent seen them yet how do they look like even though they'd be talking about the 'wolves on screen. so put it simply put my count down for werewolves only
Werewolves are seen as cold blood killers to some. In my eyes we're all part of this world and must be accepted not rejected or driven away.

It's a reference to Calvin and Hobbes, in which they play scrabble...
[Calvin and Hobbes are playing Scrabble.]
Calvin: Ha! I've got a great word and it's on a "Double word score" box!
Hobbes: "ZQFMGB" isn't a word! It doesn't even have a vowel!
Calvin: It is so a word! It's a worm found in New Guinea! Everyone knows that!
Hobbes: I'm looking it up.
Calvin: You do, and I'll look up that 12-letter word you played with all the Xs and Js!
Hobbes: What's your score for ZQFMGB?
Calvin: 957.
That was just me being silly... a MGBGT is a little British sports car.
Don't know that particular Calvin and Hobbes quote... read the strip in the morning paper if I see it but don't have any collections of it. Some of them are classics though... the one where his father tries to explain how they work out what sort of weight a bridge is rated for...
Actually, they just changed it. They are now da Wolvez Who Say "Icky-icky-icky-waKAng-zoom-BOinger-ound" (Ni!)
Yes, apparently I am posting idiotic $&!t at da moment.....
Sure, I could have stayed, could have even been king. But in my own way...I am King. (grabs girl) Hail to the king, baby!
