Hello
I've been lurking around in the site for awhile, I especially enjoy the 'What should a werewolf be?' Forum it's probably my favorite area. Though people like Vuldari, Redeye, Anubis, Scott Gardener, and entirety of The Pack intimidate me, my mind goes into overload when they start discussing, they just know so much about this stuff.
I enjoy Therianthropy, and shapeshifting in general, werewolves are definitely my favorite.

Duckie overload
Boo! Gotcha!
Don't be too intimidated. Sure, we can get pretty in-depth, but when discussing werewolf physiology, it's ultimately no more real than Trekkies discussing warp field harmonics--and even they have the edge, since there's a particular continuity to be maintained. (Though not very well, since in Voyager and Star Trek IV, warp factor 10 is infinite speed, but in The Next Generation's "All Good Things," ships can travel at warp 13.) My espousing this and that is basically making things up as I go along, and it's a foregone conclusion that no one else here has seen a real, live literal werewolf either. I know about real science, so I can offer guidelines about what is more or less plausible. But, we're ultimately making it up. (Ever see Galaxy Quest? That will make fans of any sci-fi or fantasy venue very self-conscious.)
One thing The Pack prides itself in is welcoming members. Some of our more active recent members joined up pretty recently. And, I've seen people like Anubis drop in to the intros one day and a month or two later, they're top posters giving the next round of newcomers the grand tour.
Stick around and have fun. We're as silly or as serious as you want to be.

Taking a Gestalt approach, since it's the "in" thing...

But unlike some of our high-posting members, please do not feel compelled to post loads and loads of inane, useless crap to get your post count up.
Many infrequent posters such as ABr and Goldenwolf are among the most highly respected Pack members because when they do say something it really counts.

Welcome to the pack!!!
Dont worry, I find some posts intimidating too, because there are in depth debates and while I understand a lot of the science and mythology I am generally not a good debater. Sometimes it's best to just read it, even though a lot of the time my answer is "Depends on the story I'm writing".
People here are less likely to bicker than any other board, though, in my opinion.
There are some therians around too, myself (Well sort of, my case is weird), White Paw, Pariah Poet etc.

Oh, and Sebiale, Welcome
Well be, thy one. And wisdom too. And grew, and joyed in my growth. From a word to a word, I was led to a word. From a deed...to another deed.

You can thank Figarou and his friend for the duckies (inside joke). I hope you have fun here; I know I do. It's nice to talk to werewolf fans across the globe who range from sceptically interested to insanly longing for the transformation (I'm the latter). Just don't be afraid to speak your mind, but be polite . I hope you enjoy yourself!

I think the same about uptight, rude, immature therians (Smirk...we know who I mean). Which is why I ditched the therianthropy community. I don't feel comfortable in any one form as it is and am a general shape shifter, despite my definite wolf part or memory or whatever it is, I actually don't like the wolf self much. It's like being displeased with some of my human aspects, I guess. But you are what you are. And there's nothing we can really do about that.PariahPoet wrote:KH- You're unique.
I think too many therians are too uptight about stuff. You are what you are, and nobody can tell you otherwise. ^^ Just because your theriotype doesn't completely fit any creature currently in existance doesn't make a bit of difference.

But anyhow I apologise, this isn't quite the place for me to discuss such things around the new member.
