Kaze: Ghost Warrior questions

Post by Silverclaw »

OK, a few years ago, an online buddy of mine sent me a burnt copy of Kaze through the mail. First question: On the Kaze trailer, it has a scene of Kaze saying something like, 'You couldn't beat me while I was alive, what makes you think you can now?' That scene is nowhere on my dvd. When I read a couple reviews from people, they talk briefly about that part. The dvd I have ends after...

SPOILER

...The bad rat/ferret guy is killed by Kaze.

END SPOILER

What is the real ending? Is my copy ok, and that part in the trailer is just a deleated scene, or is it defective?

OK, second question:
This was on Wikipedia:
"The second episode of the series is currently in development. A touched-up re-release of the pilot is also planned and would include such polishing touches as tails for the characters, a voice for Utsukushii, and "an in-depth scene between Kaze and his father talking about Kaze's disappearance and return."

Any idea if this is true, and if so, when will it be available?
I'd like to buy an official copy of Kaze, but I'd defiantly prefer this touched-up, newer version. :)

Ah, Kaze: Ghost Warrior. I bought that DVD at A-Kon 16. Very powerful dialogue, and emotionaly powerful action.

It is true. Timothy's film caught the attention of a production studio in the British Isles. He spent a lot of time there working with a team of animators to make the sequel. Supposedly the first DVD's footage is going to be tacked-on to the beginning of the second. That would be good too. Not too many people saw the first one. I've been looking forward to this film for awhile now.

Supposedly his next project will be... Freeborn. I KNOW he will do a good job of it too.

Timothy Albee is who inspired me to finally persue my childhood dream of computer animation.

*nods* The original Kaze was just one of two parts, and it was more or less made to prove a point: that a good movie could be made with that little time, that small a crew and that small a budget, and that such movies could be successful ventures even if targeted to a small demographic.

I think the 2nd one would have come out shortly after the success of the 1st, but as Kaebora said, the first DVD turned enough heads in the industry for another studio to get involved.

Hang onto all your originals though. They might be collectors items one day.
