Tail chopping, "kitsuning"

Post by Scott Gardener »

Here's an odd one; collecting spare tails.

Since the tail has to re-grow from scratch with each shift, I could see werewolves cutting off their tails before shifting back. This quirk might first be discovered by someone who in a fit of emotional upheaval while trying to resist a newly acquired lycanthropic affliction cut off his or her tail, only to find that it grew back, leaving the person with a dismembered extra tail laying around. Other werewolves upon learning of this might dare each other to try it, and pretty soon, a cult following of this odd practice might come about. I could even see someone jury-rigging a way of wearing extra tails. This brings to mind the kitsune legends.
Taking a Gestalt approach, since it's the "in" thing...

oaky someone brought up that werewolves could read people.
Maybe, living lie detectors. I cna see how a werewolf might use that to his advantage. Hmm... what else?
(Magic the gathering? I mean, there aren't many werewolves in the game, and the cards that are suck, but, still, it might be fun for them. I can also see the car chasing thing... although... hey, and this is just and idea, but, say a group of werewolves got together and basically dared each other to see who could otu run a car, or at least get to the back bumper or something. One werewolf drives, the otehrs chase the car. Hmmm... werewolf version of drag racing  .)
No what you have are bullets in the hope that when your guns are empty I'm no longer standing. Because if I am, you'll all be before you've reloaded.

The tail chopping would only work if a new tail bone grows out every time. They might wind up without a tail bone in their human form and have some serious explaining to do the next time they get an X-ray.

I also figure it would be highly frowned upon since anything that comes off of a werewolf would have to be accounted for, and it can't be easy to hide someone's bloody stump and their mutated severed limb.

Strangely enough, however, car chasing the way WK3 described it, that I could envision. If you go back on what I said about training activities, they could possibly train werewolves how to run faster on all fours by having a werewolf in human form drive a truck down a dirt road while the werewolf(s) run behind and try to leap into the back before they reach the end of the road or whatever. Or if nobody owns a truck, they could use a car and have the werewolves try to grab a flag or something off of the bumper.

No, not really. We might be brainstorming some ideas for games, but we're not actually playing any of them.
