Neat, I'll have to see if I can't get a computer decent enough to run it by that point.

Addem to this: The creature editor will be released as a demo sometime before Septmeber 7th. They haven't given us a firm date ont hat though I have heard suggestions that it will be two months before release so june/july.
I was thinking it myself as were a fewothers on a 40K forum I moderate. We got a few wanting to try and do Tyranids, Kroot, Eldar and Tau. Maybe if we get around to it we should see aobut hooking each other up and letting the Imperium battle it out. i'm a bit curious to see if I can manage a Lunar Class cruiser for my UFO. They already proved you could do things Like X wings and the Star Ship Enterprise.
To tell you the truth, I don't see Spore as being a staple to gamers any time after its release. But, ofcourse, I've heard many similiar doubts were expressed over the release of The Sims. Nevertheless, I've read about it, and I do certainly want.

Hm. Was going to try and make a wemic myself. Small world, huh?
Because most of their new released PC games are really buggy until they make patches.
Just like the Sims 2, it was buggy as hell. You will have to wait for Maxis to develop patches to fix the nasty problems on the game.
But, if it's Will Wright who designed and developed the game. I am proud, because he designs them very well. The Sims 2 wasn't made by Will Wright, but he help the development team for the blueprints and mechanics of the game.
Just a quick addem, seems the creature editor will be avilable as a sort of demo in july. If your willing to pay $10 they even let you use all the critter bits available rather than one third. Not sure how to feel aobut them suggesting you PAY to use a version of what is just the editor. Specially as it seems this might actually be making content for the game.
I have already made a chakat-like species with the demo version of the creature creator. I will post a picture once I have made enough tweeks. It is hard to make something like that, though. Most of the parts look more reptilian, but it is still fun.
Broke down and got the $10.00 version since it gives you a $10.00 off coupon for the full game when it comes out. Haven't tried wolfish or cat like creatures but there is a "fur" skin, though a very flat skin. Here are some critters I ahve come up with using this thing.
