ALL GOOD THINGS...

Post by MattSullivan »

...must eventually come to an end. CAMP LYCANTHROPE failed to win any awards, but it did make finals, and that's a pretty darn god thing. At the very least, I might get a few requests to read it.

Oh well. Life goes on ^-^

See! I told you Hollywood doesn't like originality!! I wonder why it didn't win any awards....
The modern film industry still sucks and they lack imagination and soul. How sad. :x

Well, at least it still worth something. You tried so many times, I think an independent film company will take it.

The fact that Camp Lycanthrope made it that far is awesome, and a testament to Mr. Sullivan's abilities. Let's hope there's more luck in the future!

Don't give up just yet... Just because you haven't won any of the big prizes doesn't mean that your idea won't sell. Given the amount of exposure it's received so far in the judging, you may find someone interested just based on the reading and concept it got.
Never say never.

That you made finals still is a pretty significant statement that ought to get attention. It helps to sell the script and establish that it's not just one of the tens of thousands of "I want to make a movie" drafts floating around out there. That, plus your resume of previous experience should help you get your foot in the door. Let's not forget the obligatory reference to Edison and the hundreds of filaments that didn't make a good light bulb. (Doing so invites direct-current blasts from Tesla purists, anyway.) Don't give up!
Taking a Gestalt approach, since it's the "in" thing...
