May 25th is apparently "Towel Day" in honor of Mr Douglas Adams and his very witty series "The Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy". Fans all over the world will be carrying a towel around all day to commemorate a legendary author.

Anybody going to do it?

Memorial Day falls on Towel Day this year...make sure you bring a towel with the
Stars and Stripes on it.
And everything under the sun is in tune, but the sun is eclipsed by the moon.

Ah... the towel as one of the most useful instruments in all the many realms of existence. I'd put it right there with the light saber and a tricorder.

I forgot to carry one around with me all day, but I did use one for something other than bathing. I was suturing someone's wound, and I rather conspicuously put a towel underneath the person's leg to catch both blood and Betadine cleanser.

I did it, but there were no stars on the towel I used, just some brown stripes.
