Yeah, I noticed, I'm assuming that it's some blip caused by compressing the animation in gif, because those simply don't appear anywhere in the uncompressed animation.

If you can play with .htaccess on your server, you can do something like this in the old directory:

RewriteEngine on
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-s
RewriteRule .*\.(gif)$ http://nospam.kicks-a**.net/~lupin/smilies/$0 [R,L]

Which will redirect the request to the new directory if the file isn't found. (I just did this myself to clean things up.)
