Those were just the ones in my room, I have another one downstairs in the dining room, and one in a datacenter in Georgia. And I own a couple of others that aren't used for one reason or another.outwarddoodles wrote:We have four computers at moms, a 1 almost dead laptop, a dead 'puter, and a laptop, time to time Evan's laptop is here.
Yet at Dads we have I beleive over 10 computers around capable of being used atleast pretty well, and probaly a smaller laptop around somewhere.

We have 6 computers (One for everyone in the house) and everyones jaws seem to drop when I say that as well. Well, I guess having a stepdad who works are an engineer helps to pay for all of that.Figarou wrote:4 computers?Lupin wrote:Heh, that doesn't happen much. Depends on where you live. I've lived in places where it's called just 'soda,' other places where it's always 'coke' (no matter the brand or flavor), other places where it's 'soda pop,' and yet others where it's just 'pop.' I think 'soda pop' is the safest (never liked calling it that myself, though).outwarddoodles wrote:Talking on Soda pop.

It varies. Usually I can keep the place pretty cool just by leaving the windows open and the lights off and just not going out into the sun, but when it gets too unbearable, well... Sometimes I'll seek out a place with AC, but I will admit to having resorted to some more, er... unconventional methods. Namely taking a cold shower and/or leaving my clothes in the freezer for an hour or two.

Poll Update!
Appears that I'm the only one (thus far) who thinks a nice & cool movie theater is nice. And cool.
Here I thought this was a movie message board!
A little topic drift going on, but that's fine. Keeps things interesting!
BTW: 3 computers, 1 PDA (1 for entertainment, 1 for business, and the '98 machine I just don't use anymore. The PDA gets little use for some reason).
Also BTW: I developed the taste for diet colas long ago, but I still crave regular Root Beer, Cream Soda, Jones' Apple soda, and Black Cherry soda.
Hey! My first poll, & I'm very happy with the turn-out. Thanks!

I actually do like a nice cool movie theatre, but with my current financial situation, I can't afford to spend seven bucks every time the heat gets to me.fullmoonfury wrote:Poll Update!

I tried telling the leasing office to replace the one I had when I was in an apartment. They kept repairing the old one that was there. After the 4th time it broke down, they finally replaced it. After that, my electric bill was lower the next month.

Around here, most people call it "POP", as did I for most of my life...but then, for some reason, it just didn't sound right when I said it anymore, so now I call it "Soda", or "Soda-Pop".outwarddoodles wrote:Talking on Soda pop.

...Calling everything "Coke"?... I've not encountered that. I guess that's not much different than calling all facial-tissues "Kleenex".
My favorite Soda would have to be RootBeer. I lost my taste for Cola years ago, and I stopped drinking anything caffinated around the same time, by reccomendation by my doctor. (I had anxiety issues at the time)
I consider myself a bit of a RootBeer Connoisseur.
The best I've ever had is fresh brewed at an old style drive-in restaurant in White Bear Lake Minnesota. You can buy it from them by the gallon. Off the shelf, 1919 is probobly the best, followed by A&W, IBC, and I seem to remember Barq's being pretty good. (I don't drink it anymore because it's caffinated. ...the ONLY Caffinated rootbeer that I am aware of.) "Dad's" Rootbeer was one of my favorites as a child, but none of the stores in my aria carry it any more. I Dont like "MUG" brand rootbeer...it's pretty poor...and I've never had a good generic. Those are usually quite awful, but DIET rootbeer of any brand is liquid poison.
"Frostopp" is also quite good, and I reccomend a good old fashioned Sarsaparilla wherever you can find one. (They taste like black licorice...which is wierd, because I hate black licorice, but I love Sarsaparilla.)
...oh dear...It seems you've stumbled upon a little personality quirk of mine. ...I'm addicted to ROOTBEER.

i hate the taste, i like the mountain dew one. but have you tried pure cuban coffee, if you havent tried that then your not 100% use to caffiene.Lupin wrote:I've been drinking a lot of Red Bull lately.
