Cockroaches (especially the American cockroach, which comes into contact with human excrement in sewers or with pet droppings) may transmit bacteria that cause food poisoning (Salmonella spp. and Shigella spp.). German cockroaches are believed to be capable of transmitting disease-causing organisms such as Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., hepatitis virus, and coliform bacteria. They also have been implicated in the spread of typhoid and dysentery.

Gawd I hate flys. The roach thing was my teacher's favorite thing to tell us because rowdy teens=food food=roaches. He'd always tell us "If they can live that long on a fingerprint, imagine how long they can live in this school!" It was sort of sick, but dead roaches are fun to tease people with. You kick them along the floor towards someone (like my friend I did it too) and they flip! Yeah, I'm twisted

The First elevator in the city of Philadelphia was suhc a huge Novelty, that people would walk into the building JUST to ride it up and down all day.

This got to be such a HUGE problem that the business located in said building started to charge 10 cents per person who didn't work there. Now back then 10 cents was the price of a full loaf of bread, and slightly less then what most people made in a single day.

Most big wages, you'd make 25 cents.., maybe.
