Music thoughts: How many here..,
How many here are muscians in their own right?
I figure there are plenty of artist out there.., but who dabbles in making their own tunes?
What sort of music to you attach to teh concept of werewolves?
Got any samples of your work?

I'm playing lead-guitar in a doom-metal band called Innocence. The band probably wouldn't exist without me.Trinity wrote:How many here are muscians in their own right?

We don't have a singer, but the music sounds depressing, with a lot of melody. I don't have any samples, but we are preparing our first demo-CD, I can probably fix some MP3's then. And nothing is related to werewolves or anything, but like I said, we got no singer, and lyrics.

That's good music SnowWalker! I made up some really simple guitar songs. Emphasis on really I don't do guitar seriously anymore, like trying to learn it and become good at playing. I just mess around with it I haven't gotten around to writing a tune for my bagpipes yet, but I'd like to someday No samples of the guitar stuff though

I love music, and listen to it frequently, yet I can't really write it. Otherwise I listen to all kinds of music, bluegrass to hard rock to Yanni.
Yet I just don't like that rap junk.
I like to imagine I can sing, maybe I can, for I'd love to do Opera. I enjoy singing that does not inculd words, but rather going along with the wonderful complexing notes that music can be. Words say what the song is, with out them they are all for you to figure out, not something that is words, but rather a feeling that talented people can create.
For now, I stick to singing out to my cats when no one is there, or singing in the shower, infact I feel like working on my future career in Opera now!

I also like to do a little plugging. I can say I listen to SnowWalker's music sometimes. Right now, I'm about to start on project Wolf though anything more specific will have to wait until some details are worked out.
As far as my own music, I play the violin, though not on my debut album, An Open Mind, which is linked, below. Play it as much as you want.
Emotional Collage
Teagan Alia
Space Between the Ears
Quiet Triumph
Chiron
Reverie I
Reverie II
Internal Conflict
Time Away (from Vibes)
Lullaby
Bach on Vibes
Dark and Curious
Lessons Learned
Conclusions

Aye, it's good to see that it's still a small world - after all.
It's also a big world, now that I've been on three continents and in the middle of a really big pond, known as the Pacific.
Right now, I'm remaining sketchy on some of what I'm doing for Wolf publicly, until the details are worked out, which I intend to do tonight.
It's great to see others who are interested in the project. Until I have more word, I'll be helping Audrey out in some similar ways that I've been helping Anthony Brownrigg. Unfortunately, I'm not sure what else I can do for Freeborn just yet - but as other times arise, I'll be sure to act on them.
Nice to meetcha!

I've played the flute since the 4th grade (though, not actively since the 7th grade)......and I've been "messing around" with keyboards for about five years. I so wish I had some pro keyboard like a Yamaha DX7 or a Korg Triton though...or at least something with pressure sensitivity and programable sounds! I also used to have this one music program called Fruity Loops on my computer that was very very good for mostly technoish beat (although other styles are achievable, just a bit harder to do) tunes.....like eJay on steroids, and it had a not so fun learning curve because of all the different soft synths built into the program.
And, finally, I have a small little Behringer mixer (Isn't it cute?) and a Shure SM57 for recording for various things (Flash animations, video work, I used to do amateur voice acting of things like dubbing anime, singing contests and radio plays online). Yum. If you only get one microphone in your entire lifetime, make sure it's the SM57 or SM58. You will never regret it. Whenever I save up the money I plan on getting an SM58 too.
But....my computer and I had another deleting war (Due to the stupid 20 GB laptop harddrive which I'm constantly fighting for more space with) a few months ago, and that resulted in the majority of anything musical/voice acting-ish being erased aside from cruddy samples I made in Fruity Loops and other various recordings that I really don't know why in the heck I kept in the first place.....once this stupid gauze comes out of my mouth I can perhaps sing a little for you. >_>
Baphnedia's files apparently don't like my version of Winamp, as they get stuck at trying to open the file......

Wolfhanyou, thank you. *bows* I'm feeling all warm and fuzzy inside all of a sudden. One thing to keep in mind, is that if you ever find yourself 'too good' for a violin teacher, take it from me, that after a decade of being out there on my own, I'm going back for more instruction, to see if I can't break the plateau I'm at.
