I'm sure some people out there will remember me (I've always been Rex), so hello again to you. To everyone else, hello, thanks for having me, and I hope I don't get burned and run off in a huff again...I'd like to maintain social contacts with a nice bunch of werewolves again, and not overreact to things agian.

Apparently Rex has been through this before. That is too bad.

I wish Rex Wolf would understand that me mean none but good intentions and want him(her?) to stay.

Unfortunately, there seems to be something about forums like this that are just too much to deal with. That is sad...especially since this is one of the most civil and friendly web-forums on all of the internet right now.

Burned? The mods at the other forums must've been very harsh to him.

Forums filled with the wrong type of people can make it a terrible place to be. Especially if the mods are the same may. I kinda forced the moderating job on Vilkacis in this forum. He went ahead and took the job. He made every effort to keep this a clean and a friendly place to visit when I'm not around. He did what he thought was right when he told Rex Wolf not to call another Pack member a liar. But Rex Wolf took it as something harsh. Something that reminded him about previous encounters.

One of the most important lessons one can learn is not to take things on the internet so seriously, otherwise you tend to overreact.

Again this was a really silly minor disagreement. I mean, I was willing to make an exception under extrodinary circumstances, he wasn't, and that's really what it came down to. I don't think this had anything to do with anybody being right or wrong as much as it had to do with tempers flaring up.

So really, we shouldn't blame ourself for this one, these things just happen sometime. It's inevitable that when many people get together, there will be at least minor clashes. Hopefully someday that'll change but until then we really just have to bare through it, as sad as it may be.

Okay, I hope nobody minds that I said that.

I wouldn't worry about it, WolvenOne. No sence losing sleep over it.

Having read the thread in question, I can just say that you can be supportive of wolves and still be wrong about some facts. That doesn't mean you're not supportive of wolves, it just means someone needs to tell you the truth. And if there's some argument over what the truth is, you cite sources.

I can also say that it doesn't matter how rabidly pro-wolf your stance may be. If you're a dick about it, I at least don't need you around.

I'm sure Rex is a good person. But I, personally, don't really like it when someone purports their opinions as facts, and refers to others as arrogant, ignorant, or a killer of wolves. I'm not really talking about the wolf supporter thread, I'm mainly talking about a different thread in which he disagreed with something I said. He acted as though I was completely wrong and he was completely right, and the topic we were arguing about was a topic that can never be proven wrong or right. Plus, he had no right to use the word 'arrogant' about me, I was merely expressing what I believed, and he's never even met me. Frankly, I am more than a little annoyed at him at the moment.

I would be more than happy to welcome him back, if he gets a significant attitude adjustment and learns to communicate in a way that doesn't sound like he's insulting people. Express your opinions politely like the rest of us (and without renouncing those of others), and share your knowledge in a way that doesn't sound as if you are a complete jerk. Your knowledge is valuable, and the world will be a better place if you share it with us. But, to be honest, it doesn't matter how awesome the package is if the mailman doesn't know how to deliver it.

I'm reasonably sure that he's the webmaster of wolveswolveswolves.org. There's an e-mail form on that site. I'm not 100% sure it's him, though, so e-mail at your own risk.

I liked the idea of coming back here, but obviously some people can't handle the truth about things, and don't like to stick to their own rules. As such, I can no longer contribute to this forum.

coming back? We didn't know you was here the first time around.

I will be, of course, continuing in my efforts to assist in wolf recovery, and expanding mankind's knowledge of wolves. Contributing to this little forum (in the scheme of things) has precious little effect on anything, other than trying (and obviously failing) to set some people straight on the REALITY of wolves.

I mentioned earlier that place started out as a forum for us to tell ABrownrigg and company "What we wanted in a werewolf." It didn't start out as a wolf recovery forum. If you was going to assist in this forum, it'll be about werewolves in an upcoming film. Not wolf recovery efforts.


I'm not against wolves. I'm just pointing out the obvious.

Don't worry. I'm sure he's reading this. Nobody ever makes a dramatic exit from a forum without coming back to see what people have said.

I did. I left a forum called Embracing Mystery and never went back. For all we know Rex will never come back and these posts could just be a waste of space.

I believe he mentioned in his intro post that he has a hard time relating to people. I can understand that; and from what I've read of his posts that he hasn't deleted, it sounds like he has a fine mind going for him. To find intelligence equal to passion in the same person is rare indeed.

I also think that if he feels he has to leave, then let him. A therapeutic back-off is sometimes necessary. He may or may not be reading any of this, but I get the feeling he'll be back, let's hope he does so with a little more communicative wisdom.

He's a crusader. Crusaders are fanatics. You can't reason with a fanatic.

If his leaving is temporary, that's alright. I know people need space somethimes and being alone is the best way, but I don't think leaving forever is the way to be *shrugs* I think he had a lot to share with us and I hope he'll back and be able to share
