I have a question for you all
Would you become what you hate to destroy that which you really hate?

I have difficulty figuring out what I hate. I'm not sure that I do hate. Everytime I try to think of something that I hate, I find something else that fits that description that is an exception.
But, if in fact there was something that I hated that I had the power to become that would allow me to destroy it, yes I think I would.

I'm kinda touched by this subject in an odd way - Reilune, you didn't post with any intention of giving me a heartache, unless you're able to read my mind.
My first thought that came to mind was Nirvana's lead singer - I guess because a friend of mine by the name of Jayce accomplished the same thing earlier this week. I found out today. I'm gonna step off of my soapbox now.

hmm... this reminds me of an episode of case closed. there was a painting depicting a knight whose armor was covered in the blood of the devil whom he had just slayen. but becouse he was covered in th blood of satan he became tainted.
translation: knight sets out to kill the devil thereby destroying all evil. but in the end was tainted and became evil himself...
the moral: hmm... i'm not sure how to word this.... if you're trying to destroy evil, don't become it. that'll mean it still exists, but even worse, it'll exist within you...
translation of the moral: to destroy something by becoming it is a foolish goal.... sorry if i offended anyone...

One reason why we can't find him
A bit vague; it depends on what it is that I'm hating and really hating.
I'd have a hard time becoming a terrorist, even if it would get me into choking range of Osama. (I'm sure bin Laden is a trained fighter and wouldn't be so easy to take down one-on-one, but I also understand that there's evidence his health is very fragile, and that he's on dialysis, if not already dead from renal failure, creating a pre-arranged illusion of continuing survival using pre-recorded tapes.)

Taking a Gestalt approach, since it's the "in" thing...

You know...it would be an interesting story if a werewolf hunter who hated werewolves was a werewolf the whole time during the story. But I think its been done already.Reilune wrote:Would you become what you hate to destroy that which you really hate?

I agree with Figarou.
Totally useless.
If you had the power to destroy what you hate, only to replace it, why bother with doing it in the first place?

He's using one of the two working dialysis machines in Afghanistan, in fact.Scott Gardener wrote: I'd have a hard time becoming a terrorist, even if it would get me into choking range of Osama. It's supposed to be in a hospital in Kabul, I think.Scott Gardener wrote:Apokryltaros:Who's got the other one? He's using one of the two working dialysis machines in Afghanistan, in fact.
Provided the Taliban didn't blow it up already.

Naaa.... I wouldn't do it like that.
If I was writing that story, I'd making it where the werewolf hunter never transformed into a werewolf until the very end.
A werewolf confronts the 'werewolf hunter' and shifts into Gestalt form thinking he has the upper hand.
Then to the werewolf's surprise, the werewolf hunter shifts into gestalt form as well!! The werewolf hunter is a bit bigger than the other werewolf!!
Whoa!!
Now why would a werewolf hunter, who is also a werewolf, hate werewolves to begin with?
Well, he was bitten by a werewolf. His 1st shift was an uncontroled one and he went into a frenzy. He didn't realize he killed his true love when in Gestalt form. Thats what made him hate werewolves so much.
Man, that'll make a great werewolf film.

No I wouldn't, I guess I'd find it useless especially when I can try to fight without transforming into anything, it could depend on the situation though.
I wouldn't mind to much becoming a 'p-shifter' in order to get some of the self proclaimed Gurus of shape shifting to shut up. All I have to do is run around and claim I turned into a wolf or llama the other night. While ofcource all in all I am a phyisical shifter, I was only a little above 4 pounds when I was taken home and now look, I'm 130 pounds, I have changed quite alot!
Otherwise how do I become lazy typing? Turn into the typer or the letters? Or nothing because it could be looked on as an action...
