Yep Yep that is correct and the second clone wars series that leads up to episode three is coming out in December. It strikes me as strange but i am not about to argue. Yay Star Wars 8)

I thought it sucked too...even though I really, really wanted to like it (being a lifetime StarWars fan)...but I am at peace with that fact now.

What's done is done. ...the pre-quils did not do the originals justice, but they have been made, are final, and (much to my dismay) are official "Cannon" for the SW universe, so there is no use crying about it anymore.

Besides...I still have the originals. ...and not even George Lucas can take them away from me.

(The Original, originals...un-"messed with"...somewhat re-mastered on LaserDisk. Definitive Collection- 1994-1995 )

Yup, yup...works great.

The DVD functions seem to work perfectly as well. Even though it is a first generation DVD player (LD combination), I've tested various DVD's and all menus and interactive games have been fully compatable.
(Excluding my "Dragons Lair" DVD's, which are near impossible to play becasue it responds a few fractions of a second too slow for some parts of the game...which is near impossible anyway.)

If I remember, the 1st generation Pioneer DVD players has odd controls on the remote. Took me a while to get used to it.

Believe it or not, the Xbox is really fast when it comes to DVD navigation. Its faster than the PS2!!

I've seen some really cheap DVD players that has quick layer changes and fast navigation. The Phillips DVP642 has that. Its a good player if you plan on getting another. That puppy is a hot seller because you can remove the region code using the remote!!

If hollywood wanted region codes for DVDs, why did theDVD player manufacter make it easy to turn it off?

Ah, the mysteries of humanity.

Hmmm...the controlls on my remote seem natural and intuitive enough. All the normal buttons...(exept some of the "LD Only" functions, which were mind-boggling to figure out without the manual.) My only problem with it is that the UP-DOWN-LEFT-RIGHT-ENTER navigation buttons are also the PLAY-STOP-FF-RW-Pause buttons, so occasionally it will do the wrong thing.

As for a "NEW" DVD player...I allready had one before getting the LD/DVD. It's a Sony, and it's not that great, but it's good enough as a spare-alternative.

Yup...thats it. I hated Pioneer for that. They fixed it so the menu navigation have thier own set of buttons on today's remotes. They also got rid of the "+10" button.

If you wanted to go to Ch. 22, you have to hit "+10" twice, then the #2. Now you just hit 2-2 to go to Ch22.

Heh....I bet I know what happened. Lucasfilm must've sent them a message to take down the easter egg. Happens all the time. That or they don't allow direct linking.

Now, since that link leads to a naughty place...I must remove it.

Well, I finally get to see this film since I had an unexpected day off. (Work was slow. Was told to stay home.)

Its hard to say what I think of this film. There are some good parts, bad, and a few suprises.

I give it a 7 out of 10

At least it leads up to Ep.4

I was suprised that one thing was not mentioned, that really bothered me when I saw the film.

Early in the film, when the starcruiser breaks apart, R2D2 makes a sound that is unmistakably an "uh-oh".

Am I the only one who cringed at that?

Artoo communicates in droid language, which is imossible for a non-droid to understand, but his mood could often be determined by the tone and speed of his bleeps, combined with his often humorous imitations of body language (hopping up and down...spinning his dome...etc.).

I would have been perfectly fine if he had made some frantic beeps here to express his mood of concern and panic, but I feel I have to make this perfectly clear...

R2D2 does NOT go "UH-OH"!!!

Ha!! I noticed that myself. I just shrugged it off and finished watching the rest of the film.

Oh..another thing that I hated. General Grievous' coughing. That was soooo annoying!! :x
