Project Altered Beast - PS2 (werewolf! and more)
I am considering getting this game, it's not every day you can play as a werewolf, no? Unfortunately for any of you in North America I don't think you'll be able to get it as Sega didn't want to release it there. Only in Europe and Asia (incl. Australia + NZ, yay).
"As a special military operative, you are sent to investigate a deadly genetic outbreak in a small West Coast town. Operating alone and with minimal information, you quickly realize that your mission will ultimately become a battle for survival. Hunted by unspeakable horrors and haunted by your past, you soon discover that in order to overcome evil, you must become more than evil.
The only thing that can save you is your darkest power, the ability to transform into a variety of powerful beasts. As you defeat wave after wave of failed genetic experiments, the line between human restraint and primal instinct will blur, until nothing is left but the savage desire to uncover the true nature of the beast.
Explore your inner demons. Unleash your fury. Alter your reality."
Sounds dramatic, but the screenshots look okay. I hope the gameplay is as good.
"My, what big teeth and eyes you have..."
According to it, you can change into more than eight creatures, such as a Werewolf, Dragon, Minotaur (I think I saw a weretiger and werebear, but maybe I was tripping); each with their own combat techniques and skills.

;) Unless you can get your hands on a PAL format PS2, or understand Japanese (but are you willing to waste that much for one game? Stick with Bloody Roar and the like...). I'm not sure why Sega decided to baulk at North America, you'd think it'd be one of their biggest markets. Hmm.
i want that game!!
i hate it when games are not released here. They keep some of the most interesting games out of North America.
lets hunt them down and force them to release it here.

Just a normal transformation, and if you wanna make it 'dark', you should watch the 'camera-inside-body' transformation at Underworld. Out of the skin makes it look more like an alien, then a werewolf.
