In fact, a little research shows that Sylphis isn't very well maintained. If you're willing to do a bit more work, I suggest Ogre3D, whose graphics are state-of-the-art. However, it is just that; a graphics engine. You'll have to hook up something like the Open Dynamics Engine for physics; there's currently at least one project for this already under way, and others for different physics engines, so you shouldn't need to muck around in the code much.

S.T.U.D. huh, can I see a preview of it somewhere?
Oh and about the graphics engine, it would be nice to have something that doesnt look out of date, I personaly would use the half life 2 engine sense it has great face emotions and the best physics in video games.

Anubis, sorry to say, he's bulls**tting you. I have minor experience in C, C++, Java, Python, Bash, Forth, TCL, and a few others, and I think that gives me the authority to say that you can NOT just 'copy and paste' code from one engine to the other. There's many complex, interdependent OOP layers, combined with customized libraries and specialized refrences. Add that to the fact that the full Half-Life 2 code isn't available even to licensees (to license the source engine costs at the very least several thousand dollars, as does the unreal 2), and depends upon the Steam proprietary base to operate. Top that off with incompatible legal licenses, refrences to missing code, the fact that no licensing is available for either engine that permits reselling, and various other proprietary traits, and you have proof that it's pure lies.
Oh, and Ogre3D bears several features not even the HL2 engine can boast of, and ODE can claim the same. They're not even NEAR out of date.

That directly contradicts what you've said earlier:

A fusion of unreal 2 and half life 2 engine? How the hell did he do that!?!
my bro did a thing called CUT and PASTE and also he's a programer and knows his way threw C++
@Shadow Wulf:they took parts from both and make it into one!
You're right. Even if it was technically possible, the legal hoops would require a highly paid team of lawyers to navigate, at the very least.ahh ok, but I dont know how they did it. I thoughtyou couldnt mic\x 2 softwares together without the companies permission.

Yeah jeez, copying and pasting my own code into new programs is still a PITA, and I wrote it all.Ralith Lupus wrote:That directly contradicts what you've said earlier:
