So now, Ipods come standard with not only music and photo capabilities, but now include video playback! Can it get any better than this??

Some people rabidly hate all proprietary software...Scott Gardener wrote:I love Linux. I really do. But, why do you need to put it on an iPod? What can an iPod running Linux do that it can't do with it's own OS, right out of the box?
Other people would do it for fun.
Yet others for challenge.
Some people might do it just to be able to say they did.

They're getting all tricky these days One of the doctors at the hospital bought me an iPod shuffle. He misses his kid (his kid's in college and autistic but absolutely brilliant) and it makes him feel better to do things for people, so he's taken me under his wing as his kid. He's a really nice guy He got himself and his wife iPod nanos (those are cool!)

Not too much (but still a little; running yer own code, playing non-proprietary games and such) until you factor in the 'net connection. Then, the possibilities are almost endless. Remote file storage/access, webbrowsing, remote monitoring, stream listening....Scott Gardener wrote:I love Linux. I really do. But, why do you need to put it on an iPod? Sanity is relative.
