Werewolf form reflecting Human form
Exactly. I'm in favor of werewolves being exactly that; wereWOLVES. This extends to things like hair length; in gestalt form, I agree wholeheartedly with Excelsia, but full wolf form should in all cases remain within the range of normality for wolves. Just my interpretation, but it's what I think'd be best.Vuldari wrote: The fur color pattern would be built around the original color, but would not be limited to it exclusively. I also think it would vary considerably from werewolf to werewolf, with some bearing a vibrant representation of their hair color in wolf or gestalt form, while others might turn almost completely black, white or grey, with the original color hidden as only subtle highlights.
...
It doesn't need to dominate the color scheme, but I think it would be logical for the human color to at least be 'present'.

So, let me figure out what you're saying. You agree with me about my opinions of the gestalt form, but we differ slightly on our opinions of the wolf form?

Yes, exactly. I see the wolf form being a wolf form, natural in all but mentality, with gestalt being the area where things like that come into effect.Excelsia wrote:So, let me figure out what you're saying. Ah, well that's cool. I really don't feel too strongly about the wolf form anyway. The gestalt form is what matters most to me. While I feel very strongly about what the gestalt form should look like, TA and AB can do almost whatever they want with the wolf form, and I'd be ok with it.Ralith Lupus wrote:Yes, exactly. Just to clarify again...the suggestions I have been making here have been dirrected as reccomendations for Werewolves that have full Wolf forms, or whose gestalt forms are an actual wolf/hybrid of some kind, and not just something wolf-like.Excelsia wrote:Ah, well that's cool. Allthough I would be pleased if the Werewolves in Freeborn posessed these aesthetic qualities, I do not know if they are compatable with what AB and TA have in mind, so I am not aiming it at Freeborn specifically.
I'm just stating my preferences on the application of fur color on "Lupine" Werewolves.
"Wolf-Like" and "Wolf-Man" werewolves, on the other hand, I think would have very different types of fur patterns.
(If they even have fur at all...as some just have bald, rubbery black skin, after all.)
...I'm going to trust that whatever Tony, Silver, Tim and the rest of the "Freeborn" crew do, it will be the best for the kind of werewolf they choose to create...whatever that will be.

I'm also sick about those wannabe heroes.JoeDarkfall wrote:I'm sick of movies where all the Werewolves look the same. If there was a midget bitten (oh god, I hope I just didn't create a new werewolf sub-genre), would he transform into a 6 or 7 foot beast? No.
Give them height variations. If the person is a red headed step child, then lets have a red furred Werewolf. If a person has long hair, then that Werewolf should have a longer mane than the others.
Body types as well. Not all Werewolves should be giant hulking beasts. They should all be fit and muscular, though. For instance. I'm 6' 230 lbs. Transformed I should look like, maybe a Werewolf from The Howling.
Now say you've got a really built guy, lets use "Blade's" Triple H for example. He's huge, so transformed he should be one Hulking, super muscular, long mane beast!!
Oh yeah, I'm also sick of Werewolf movies where the Werewolf slaughters here and slaughters there but then is suckered at the end for the happy go home.
Like some situation that there is everything going well and then some idiot comes to play hero and screws up the whole situation. I would say that there shouldn't be any of those in the movie. It just pisses me off and it's so stereotypical. Of course if there is a reason, like in most movies werewolves are those bad guys
and they have they own enemies... Humans! Van Helsing was a little bit like this, werewolves served the more great evil and that makes them "bad".

Suddenly, I am thinking of a gigantic greyhound, with opposable thumbs.Excelsia wrote:Shadow Wulf wrote:I weigh 140 pounds and 6" how would I be?
Very tall, and sleek. You'd muscle up some, but you'd still give a more lean impression than a muscly impression, IMO.

Re: Werewolf form reflecting Human form
The sameness of the design is something I hate too. It is usually due to budgetary considerations. Either they buy just one or two suits and use them for all the werewolves (making there are never more than that transformed at the same time, or using camera work to make it appear like more), or, even if they happen to order more than two suits, they have them built on exactly the same design so they don't have to pay extra fees to the designer.JoeDarkfall wrote:I'm sick of movies where all the Werewolves look the same. Of course, extremely variable designs are just as annoying. If the werewolf switches back and forth between two or three clashing designs that do not look like they belong to the same sequence of transformation, that is pretty bad too. This was a problem in "Arizona Werewolf."
