And, uh... Yes, it is historically white, but like I said, that's because every black guy that performed anything like that was referred to as a Blues musician.

Why is that? How come even Leadbelly -- the most Country and crusty of them all -- went down in history as a Blues singer?

Yeah, so have I. But, white people in such occupations are few and far between, and have to work their asses off to be taken seriously.

I don't know why they are always called blues singers. But, are any of these black artists actually upset about that? How often does a black 'blues' singer complain that he's not considered a country star?

I don't think country music is racist as long as no black people seriously want to be a part of this genre.
