In Se7en at least, you saw the aftermath of what John Doe did to his victims, not him doing it.....Fenrir wrote:Hmm looks like saw.
At least it can't be as bad as some of the ones on Seven
Hostel is a full out twisted gore&torture fest.....it shows all the mean nasty stuff, read an article and heard that the first time they screened the movie, a bunch of people left the theater before it was over because it was too graphic and unsettling....

Well, though I'm not a fan of gore, it certainly doesn't bother me. I guess it's because I grew up skinning deer on a regular basis, which, in and of itself, is pretty unsettling for the average person. So, for the most part, I'm desensitized.
Having said that, I love Quentin Tarantino, and I love scary movies. I'll probably be seeing this.

Well Hostel is coming out this friday, and i plan on seeing it for better or for worse, and I will be making sure to be sitting away from other people because i worry somebody might get sick near me.
here are a couple interesting articles about the movie, the first one being an interview with Eli Roth, the writer and director of Hostel, the second link is about the cast. the last link is to a group of photos from Hostel

I saw the movie, for what it was it was a decent movie, but they could have gone more extreme with the violence/torture scenes (which they might have in the expected 'unrated' DVD release) it is definately a watchable film, and not gore-filled to the point it might make someone sick. Takashi Miike, a japanese director (that has a small cameo in the film) has gone to the extreme in his films like Audition, Dead or Alive, and Ichi: The Killer. Hostel is graphic and definately has some disturbing scenes, but is much more mild than what Takashi Miike has done.
Overall, its a hyped film, but it is good enough to watch. but i'd wait till it come out on DVD to rent it

okay I finally watched real long time ago though and I have to say it was good but pretty hardcore with the killing OF ASIAN, EUROPE, AND AMERICAN. But I have to say I laughed when those three people were hit by that car and that chick was run overred. Just made me laugh and I was Like freakin out in the classs at lunch break and I was "Kill them they deserve for doin that to your friends" and thats about it. and thats my opinion.
