Your idea sounds good, though; not what I pick if it could be anything, but understandably in this position you have to do something that'd be seen as marketable, and doesn't take any large chances. I suppose I'd be happy with almost any type of game that implemented playable werewolves of the sort we're describing on these boards.

I'm trying hard to avoid sterotypical high-fantasy swords and sorcery, mostly by clamping things down to mostly paranormal/supernatural as much as possible. It's more a matter of artifacts left behind by an ancient Earth-based civilization of 10,000-20,000 years ago (Atlantis, Lemuria, Mu, etc.) that violate the known laws of physics (the Astral Drive Ring being one).

Only one of the four sides can overtly "cast" magic, and requires special artifacts and rare skill to do it (restricting it to specialty units). The other two sides are a sort of yin/yang duo of Artificers (representing "order", creators of artifact creatures, and featuring a remote/mindlink ability that encourages a deliberate long-distance and tactical play style) and Beasts (representing "chaos", keepers of a terraforming ecosystem, and featuring shapeshifting ability that encourages an aggressive close-combat play style). Earth itself stays pretty straight, with some paranormal/supernatural elements that keep a low profile; native Earth-born Beasts spawned the legends of various werecreatures. All four sides actually have a common heritage (being splinters of humanity), hence the Earthlike ecosystems of habitable planets ("what a green, green universe we live in" --Col. Jack O'Neill) and the famiar breeds of Beasts.

FYI: this is the fictional world that resulted from refactoring and consolidating my various settings. Previously, I had separate present-day world plus supernatural elements, fantasy world with werecreatures and immortals, science-fiction world with aliens, robots, and genetically-engineered "alterants", and superhero world. Superhero world is the only thing I specifically left out after the merger, and the science-fiction elements got a complete makeover. The werecreatures were pretty much the thread that ran through all of them, so they're one of the more dominant features of the setting.

That does sound interesting. I hope the player, choosing Beast, would get some choice of specifically what beast they are; it'd be even nicer if there was significant difference between the different beasts in areas other than looks. That would add the necessity of class-like things for each of the other three (by the way, you only described three out of four

) groups, which might be a lot of work. Maybe have a few subclasses that served similar relative functions for each group.

I'm assuming a class-based framework like Star Wars Battlefront and the Battlefield series, and each class would feature significantly different appearance, armament, and abilities. As with SWBF, the sides would share some common roles (with side-specific names) along with some side-specific special units. Separate "nationalities" inside each side could provide some variety as well, but just having four radically different sides is fairly unusual for an action/shooter game.

The fourth side is the Eternal Empire, Earth's magic-using dual (representing "authority", masters of willforce-amplifying Soulstones, and featuring magical aptitude that encourages an unpredictable play style). Its society stratifies based on magical ability, with Immortals as royalty, Gifted as nobility, Talented as middle-class, and Common as serfs. The Immortals see themselves as the rightful rulers of the ancestral homeworld, Earth, but Earth's leaders don't exactly go for that...

Okay, now that I have gotten over my temporary shyness, I will try to introduce myself the best I can.
I am Chezara. Yes I know that there is a "wolf" at the end there, but I prefer Chezara. But I really don't care what my fellow Weres call me here because as corny as it may sound, you guys are my only true packmates when it comes to therianthopy.

I have no other werewolves to hang out with here in wichita Falls.
It's a small town. I try to howl, I'm screamed at to shut up by neighbors, who end up with several piles of dog poop in their yard the next morning.

But yeah, it's tough being a Were here.
But when I get on this site, I'm free to be who I really am.

Oh well. I've always loved wolves, werewolves, anime, Native American stuff, wildlife, and I'm a big time Goldenwolf fan. *Waves (Hi Goldie!)* I also love my Wolf Side.

It's my favorite thing about myself.

well now werewolves....i read about them, i write about them, i draw them (ok my drawings are a shame....), and i hope i'll meet one someday cuz i believe in them and can't live without believing thaqt there real.

finally i would like to say that i'm always open for a french conversation about werewolves and anything else

first my avatar is zeross metallium he is a mazoku (demon) and in background we see his master zelas metallium (greater beast zelas metallium) who is one of the five demon lords created by Ruby Eye Shabranigudu. so in short, it is from the anime called Slayers
