An initial stir would die down quickly, it would be another Internet urban legend.

Aside from proving years of doubt and disbelief wrong, it would be a huge step in science to know of the existance of werewolves. However, expecting some on to come out with proof to be put on the internet for the world to see is basically taking away the secrecy the person wants to keep. If he or she claims to be a Physical Shifting Werewolf, and does not wish to produce proof, it should be left at that. There may be a few out there who would be willing to produce proof, yet "werewolves" I have talked to on another board wish to keep the secrets of transformation within the Wolfen society. Everyone has something they want to claim but not want to share, in physical proof, with the world.
A fractured psyche is not always a bad thing. In the world of Werewolves and Otherkin, many can exist in one host very peacefully. I am a great example of that. I have 6 different Fursonas
