Me three!! Merry Christmas! Happy Hanuka! ( know I spelled that wrong) Happy Holidays! No matter the denomination or religious group....even those that don't claim one at all...I wish everyone of the Pack community a very happy holiday season!:santa:

I'm a firm believer in...ok, it's more of a personal superstition...but how you spend the last hours of the old year will be reflected in the new. So why not spend it happy with your family or closest friends, building the foundations for your path through the new year to come. :party:

Whether it is a special occasion for you or not, there are people who are very close to you. It doesn't matter if they are few steps or many kilometers away. I hope you live whole next year with them, physically or spiritually, thinking, helping and caring for each other. Good luck!

Merry Christmas everybody!!!

We call it different names, but it's the same idea. As a Wiccan, I ought to call it Yule and celebrate it on the 21st, but I grew up calling it Christmas. Most people call it that, regardless of religious preference. Sure, the name's origin is Christian, but if that bothers some fellow Pagans, keep in mind that the holiday itself ultimately is a Pagan one; Jesus' birth date is unknown, but the date was chosen to coincide with the rebirth of a Pagan Sun God. Suffice it to say, Merry Christmas, and Gods Bless us, every one of them.

unlike you scott im more of a "secret" wiccan, only letting people that I am close to know((that is, off the internet of course)) such as friends, I would never tell my family, friends is something you can gain back but family is not, one reason I never tell people in my family is because news gets around fast in it and alot of them are christians so they would go beserk, especailly my uncle tony who goes to church five times a week.

also my father is one who gets angry at alot of things and often restricts me to things, he once saw me on a vampire website and told me to get off, although for some reason he has no problems with werewolves((maybe because they do not endourse the gothic look)).

sorreh for the rant all, and merry christmas :lol:

It's true that it's no formal secret. (Otherwise, I wouldn't tell the whole planet. Though "Scott Gardener" is a pseudonym, it's more for the sake of spam prevention than total anonymity, since I occasionally mention my real name of Jon Coolidge. Thus, it's entirely possible in theory for anyone on Earth with Internet access, a good search engine, and sufficient interest in the matter to learn that some doctor out there named Jon Coolidge is a Wiccan.)

But, it's certainly not the first thing I tell people when I meet them. I don't usually introduce myself as a Wiccan or even go into religion without getting to know people first. Religion is a touchy subject for a lot of people, since it's a matter of strong convictions, and several viewpoints out there are diametrically opposed to each other. I find it more helpful in representing my beliefs by letting people know and like me first. That way, they don't have a chance to have preconceived notions. I've shown at least a few people that Wiccans aren't weirdoes or cultists simply by going about my daily life.

</off topic>

Now back to a Merry Christmas currently in progress.

Ull... (plop)

Maybe if I wanted to be a discrete Wiccan, I could get me one of those as an athame for plain-clothes spellwork.
