You know, I had the strangest dream. I met Anthony Brownrigg and Silver in person. Figarou and Arania were there, and there was this duckie being thrown. And a bunch of people were dressed like Anime characters, and there was this long line to get into a dealership room, even though it was already open a few hours earlier, but for some reason they had to close it.
No, wait. That was A-Kon.
I've had numerous dream-shifts. I used to have to work a lot harder at it. Now, my subconscious has pretty heavily integrated therianthropy, so at times I'll shift to wolf form out of the blue. As for mental and spiritual shifting, I've been doing that more heavily than usual lately. Maybe it's the excitement from the convention, or the fact that a lot of other things are happening in my life in fast-forward.

Sounds more like something in a therian forum, yet I don't think anyone uses 'spirit shift'.
If you a confused therian your not going to get much information here. www.shifters.org can give you information on shifts and other information, yet the site is currently done I beleive so you might not get something good from it currently. But theres other resources.
If your confused, this board is for werewolf fans, not any true - whether physical shapeshifting, spiritual, or mental - werewolves.
With stress in my life any shifts have been at a standstill.

I had the most bizarre dream a few weeks ago. Might have been some excess Vicodan residue in my system because they gave me some of that while I was in the hospital.
I was talking with someone who didn't believe in werewolves and shapeshifting, so I decided to show them (this is the dream, natch). I got up, took off my clothes, and willed a change. It was uncontrolled and started with my internal organs, mostly in the torso. Then my legs got longer, forced into a digitigrade stance, and then my back started shifting. Last my head bloomed out into that of a wolf's.
I have extremely vivid, lifelike dreams, sometimes to the point where I don't know which is which, waking or dreaming reality. Anyway, I could actually feel myself shifting. It was almost indescribable; my brain kept saying, "This is pain! No, wait, it's not *that* painful...I definitely don't relish the sensation, though." It was more a fear of being out of control, almost as if a supernatural agency had taken hold of my body and was twisting and shaping it like clay in a sculptor's hands. Not really painful...intense, mildly unpleasant and slightly scary.

I only have m-shifted and d-shifted.
My d-shiftingis very cool to have. Only had it twice. I can feel, smell, hear and move where ever I want. My favorite was when I was running through the woods on all fours in were form. I can feel the air hitting my face, smell the wild scents, and even feel my hands and feets touch the ground with great speed. I felt free, like I could do anything. I still love that dream.
m-shifting is kinda scary for me. I only do these when I need to get rid of my stress. They last from 30-to an hour. I can't control myself but I know what I'm doing. Afterward, I am 100% zen but I can't get my mind on track. I drool alot during this too. I don't really know if it is a m-shift or a s-shift.

I have dream shift, phantom shifts, and suntherian shifts. I have never had a total mental shift because I am always a constant blend of human and feline in mindset- just in varrying degrees.
My dream shifts are never painful, I just feel bones stretching and compressing and muscles moving. It feels more like it does when your stomach growls- nothing unpleasant, just odd movement. Of course I've only shifted to gestalt form in my dreams once. But I frequently go directly to feline form. For quite a while, as soon as I became lucid I would shift involuntarily. That was a problem sometimes because once I was driving a truck down a slippery road and couldn't hold the wheel with paws or reach the brake!

Dreaming that you're shifting in public
My dream shifting actually is pretty smooth and painless; I just get down and I'm there. The hard part sometimes can be staying in wolf form, instead of being in human form, pretending I'm shifted. In other dreams, I shift like it's normal, like a lot of people fly.

I'm thinking that dream may have been my subconscious mind dealing with what'd just happened to my body. Big change to my innards and body by outside hands that I had no control over, et alia. Trying to sublimate it into dream-language as a psychological self-defense using images and sensations that I could relate to.

A lot of dream shifting, definately a few phantom shifts. I also mental shift sometimes too, though not as common as the others... spirit shift, not exactly sure what that means, this is honestly the first time I've seen that term.
