In regards to not being ashamed / being ashamed of watching Gargoyles:

True, there is no shame in watching or being a fan of Gargoyles. After all, most people who were around my age when that show was popular liked it. It's no wonder either, because it was a good show.

However, there is a fine line between liking a good show while it is on the air and obsessing over an old show after it has gone off the air...which I crossed (and dotted). Less than a few months ago, I was still reading Gargoyles fan fiction and collecting Gargoyles fan art on my computer. This series has influenced my views on what demonic creatures should look like forever.

So...yeah...

In short, there's nothing wrong with having liked Gargoyles back in the day...but there is something wrong with continuing to obsess over Gargoyles today, probably ten years later.

That show was soooo stupid, and such a dumb idea that it was awesome! The three cats had lucicrous names (the girl was "Polly Ester" ...I don't remember the others, but they were equally as silly), and the main bad guy literally exploded every time he got mad.

...wierd, awesome stuff...

Did I mention it was really wierd?

From left to right: Polly Ester, Speedy Cerviche and Guido Anchovy. :grinp: And yeah, the whole show was pretty much just one big fat parody of daytime anime (even the characters and narrator sometimes commented on how stupid their show was), but that's what made it so wonderful. :D

Hell, you're far from alone Renorei. Why do you think they released it on DVD last December? The video store nearby where I live has these monitors up high in the ceiling where they just play one movie (instead of those freakin' commercials Blockbuster has), and the last nine times I was in there, they had Gargoyles playing on them. :grinp:

Bah!!! Samurai Pizza Cats was one of my most beloved cartoons, i used to get up at 3 in the morning to watch it on YTV, and I still would if they were still being aired! A pox on all those who would speak ill of it! It was hte most hilarous show ever, it was a walking parody of itself.

I've still got the theme song memorised after all these years ^ _ ^
