Vote for Freeborn!

Post by Noel »

This months poll at http://www.werewolf-movies.com is for "the most anticipated werewolf movie of 2006", and Freeborn is in the running. At the moment Death Walks The Streets is dominating it by a long way since the poll was announced on that movies blog ... surely the pack can muster up some more votes for Freeborn, it being a 'pure' werewolf movie?

Not that I want to incite an online rivalry between Freeborn fans and Death Walks The Streets fans or anything.

Yeah and let's hope that we can make it be first if we get everyone to vote for freeborn and beat the death walks the streets.

I think as long as Freeborn makes the top three, that will be enough to get the point across.

Or at least as long as it stays ahead of Bubba the Redneck Werewolf. I haven't read the comic that movie is based off of and I'm sure it's easy to misjudge, but you have to figure that with a name like that, it's the one movie on that list that all the other teams are hoping to do better than.

As for Death Walks the Streets, well. . . I'll admit the concept of a vampire/werewolf/zombie mafia does sound interesting, but I still think Freeborn will be the big winner on that list in the end.

.....is Freeborn even going to be released in 2006? All signs point to no, the fact that the process has been slow, and it will take time to film, not to mention prepaire the werewolf. And then you have to do that whole cuting room floor thing, all those things take time.....however, I checked the box for Freeborn 8)

Hence the very awkward wording of the poll topic -- "werewolf movie that we hope, MIGHT be out this year ..." My guess is a few on the list probably won't be. But hey, maybe it just means Freeborn can win the most anticipated werewolf movie poll two years in a row ...

Glad to see Freeborn ranking high, but what's this other Death Walks the Streets thing? Looks more like general horror stuff that happens ot have werewolves in it. Something tells me I'll end up seeing the thing at least once, but I'm far more interested in Freeborn, because it's not another one of all the stuff we already have.

As was already stated, DWtS is ranking at the top because it was announced on their website/blog/whatever. And yeah, I don't know what the big deal is either. It sounds like Nightwatch in English.

It was announced on both the website and the blog. I am looking forward to "Death Walks the Streets", and I guess it's sending traffic my way so it's all good. The only downside is that most of the people voting aren't necessarily werewolf movie fans, just DWtS fans.

Don't know about you, but it looks like the DWtS fans have the same idea. :P Maybe we should just settle for #2 and look like the honest fans. I think everybody knows these polls aren't 100% reliable by now -- they'll probably look at that huge gap between DWtS and the other movies and assume it was just two or three fanboys voting over and over again.

So if the #1 is regarded suspiciously by default, Freeborn's already where it should be. :D

Or, we could play their game better than they have and spam that link all over other forums everywhere.

That sucks that Freeborn is this far behind. I bet the majority of the people who picked DWTS are all sterio types and arent even werewolf fans.

It's still in second place. Imagine how the people working on Lycanthrope and must feel.

Though I imagine the people behind Blood & Chocolate must feel even worse. That movie was supposed to be a huge hit because it already had a huge fanbase from the book. Yup. All twelve of em' apparently. :grinp:

Just let the DWtS people spam the living hell out of it. The further their ahead, the less people will believe it.

Of course, we're Freeborn advocates ourselves, so as far as mob voting goes, we're kind of guilty, too.
