And you thought it was possible that we didn't know about this allready, how?
(Just messing with ya' I know you just didn't see the topic, because it has been pushed to the second page.)

(Note that the first post is dated March of 2005)

...and your Pic is sligtly out of date as well.

Here's a little update.

Image

They've dropped the dry, black and white effect in the "Dark" Realm, and replaced it with the oversaturated, surreal look as seen above. It supposedly looks really nice in motion.

You will also notice that LinkWolf has taken on a much darker color from the Pea green fur he had before. Also...it seems that Minda (the thing with the hat) will be with you for most of the game. She will allways be on your back while in wolf form, and when you become human/hylian again, she actually becomes your shadow, and chimes in with advice and dirrections from time to time...like Navi in OOT.

The latest news on the game is that it will release on GameCube and Wii simultaniously...but only the Wii version will display in 480p widescreen.

Other than the obvious game controll differences, the two versions will be exactly the same game.

Here are some more pics, just for the heck of it.

Both Versions (GameCube and Wii) will be released on the same day, which will be...

...the day the Wii system launches...whenever that is going to be.
(Sometime between October and December...hopefully)

...it just feels like we have to keep waiting and waiting and waiting for this game.

It looks like it will be worth it though.

I'm betting both versions are indentical, and the two versions is simply so it can be played on the Wii and the Gamecube. Makes more money if it sells for two nintendo systems rather than one. Or something like that.

Joy...

Lets just hope she's not nearly as annoying. :P

Like I said...they will be the same game. The Wii Version will have marginally enhanced graphics (most noticable when played in progressive scan-wide screen), and will make extensive use of the motion sensing controller for fishing, archery, targeting enemies, and various other uses (though movement and swordplay will still be controlled with the analog stick and attack button).

For those who don't plan to, or cant afford to buy a Wii system right away, and because Nintendo promised to release the game on GameCube, a GCN version will be available simultaniously as the Wii version, which will be the entire game, with almost equally spectacular graphics (it was originally designed for the Cube, after all...the Wii version is the "PORT"), only played with the GameCube controller.

There will be no reason to own both versions.

Time will tell. I suspect that it will be toned down a bit, because Nintendo has heard the complaints, but a Hint/Guide system is essential to keep the gameplay accesable to new players, so I expect the "chimes" will come semi-frequently, a little less than Navi in OOT, and probobly more like the fairy in MM, or the stone in WW.

I've seen it in the teaser videos. If you've played any Zelda games in the last decade, it will feel very...familiar.

There is still MONTHS of development time left before launch, so the frequency of her interruptions may be tweaked by the time the game hit's shelves.
