I enjoyed it, it was funny.

I recon they were due for a makeover, the old imps were a joke (other than the fact that they were sprites)
Doom 3 fulfilled all that it set out to do.
Cept of course, it 'could' have been more replayable.

don't get me wrong, it was a good game but they could have done much better with it, now they did do a great job with qauke 4

Yeah. In the old Doom-game(s) you got to play against multiple Cyberdemons. In part 3 you just got to fight one (end-battle).

i think doom 3 was aimed more at suspense and less at action, the hordes that were expecting the running and gunning found in the first two got disapointed...
i thought it was a great game, but it defianatly didn't follow in doom I & II's footsteps....

Then it failed in his attempt to suspence. I didn't think it was scary. It takes a lot more to scare me then with just some zombies, and lights that go out. And indeed, Doom 3 is not a bad game, its just not a great Doom-game. I think the add-on Ressurection of Evil was cool (although I do think that the gravity-gun is the biggest Half-Life 2 ripoff ever), and that makes it more sad to say that the end-boss of Ressurection of Evil is really flawed. The creators really forgot that you can still use the artifact to dodge every move that the boss makes, in slow-motion (for those who haven't figured that out yet: yes, you can use the artifact in the boss-fight). Also, Ressurection of Evil was really short. Almost half as short as the original Doom 3 I think.

Anubis: Have you ever played commander keen? I've played most of teh old ID games... doom 1 and 2, wolfenstein, the spear of destiny ex, commander keens 4-6 and quake 1,2&3. So if you haven't, you might not get the references...
