Lady in the Water
I know there is another thread in the "wolf movie" section about this film, but I just saw it last night at a screening and it isnt exactly a werewolf film. However the film is really good, and about sea Nimphs trying to return home while a beast made of grass and plants in the form of a wolf trys to stop her.
Anyone interested in chatting about the film can feel free to post here, I know it hasnt come out quite yet in regular release, but it is definatly worth seeing ^_^ I wouldnt mind seeing it again.

Gah, you suck!
I really want to see it, but alas I must wait till the official release.
I love all of Shyamalan's movies.
(and yes, I am one of the few people who appreciates The Village, because I knew his style and knew it wasn't going to be a hack and slash. I realized where it was going within the first five minutes.)

I loved that movie, knew where it was going from the cloths pins in one of the early scenes. I lucked out and got tickets to the screening because my friend Joly had them. Thank You Joly! (she just joined the Pack btw)PariahPoet wrote:Gah, you suck!

My local cinema has a big sign in the lobby about the illegality of theatre bootlegs. It outraged me that a rapist or a drunk driver who kills someone gets less jail time than someone doing a non-violent crime like film bootlegging.fredriksam wrote:Did you know: i,ve already seen it. A friend had downloaded it from DC++ or bearshare. The quality wasnt good at all. A cam rip.
Ah! That's a powerhouse of a private sector for you. Long live O Mighty Dollah!
On topic: I plan to see this movie. I love M. Night Shyamalan's stuff. The Village flat-out rocked.

He does have an ever growing fanbase. *wave's little M. Night Shymalan flag*vrikasatma wrote:M. Night Shyamalan is famous for that. The Village kept me very engaged. He's a wonderful storyteller and doesn't get half the respect he deserves.
I'm going to check out the movie listings for my area and see if there's a late show going, I might dash out to see it.
He's also a very good actor as well.
I can't wait for the DVD of "Lady in the Water"; I hope there will be a "making of" feature on it.

I saw this movie, and I thought it was awesome. And I agree with neilak, M. Night's acting was pretty good in this movie. He has an important supporting role, and he did a great job with it.
The scrunt was awesome! I loved that creature! I don't get scared in most horror movies, but I did find the scrunt to be pretty frightening.

I saw part of an interview with M. Night Shymalan, and while I thought the Scrunt was totally CG in the film, it turns out they did have a full sized one on set. I'0m not sure if it was anamatronic or a trained dog in make up (can they do that?) it was probably anamatronic though. I did get a good look at it in a "makeing of" they had in the interview, was kinda unsettling to see it and the camera in the same shot.
(also, ya'll can just call me "Neila" the "K20" is a separate bit )

*grin* I just saw the movie tonight and I adore it!
But what I wanted to share was this fun instance-
I was looking for photos of the scrunt and couldn't find any decent ones online until I stumbled upon this gallery

I was just a bit surprised when I saw the owner of the gallery- our very own fredricksam!

The only thing that sucked was everytime the scrunt was on screen there was a group of 14 year old girls that would scream...
OOOOOoooo...I was pissed....
