Hmmm? I didnt see anything racist

And Goofy is most certinaly a anthro dog. Goofs branched off from the domesticated dog family thousands of years ago. They evolved to bipeds and adopted many human like tendecys. Such as speaking english and wearing clothing

Okay, so the cartoons in which Pluto was Goofy's dog shouldn't be viewed as Goofy keeping a dog but rather him having a monkey? Well I guess that's a better alternative then there being no branch and Pluto simply being Goofy's very slow cousin.

I don't get why so many make the argument that Goofy is NOT a dog becasue Pluto IS and they are not the same.

...well DUH... Goofy is an Anthropomorphic Dog character (like Mickey is a Mouse, but does not live in a hole in the wall, and Donald is a duck but does not "nest" or live in a lake.) while Pluto is a cartoon Pet Dog.

What isn't there to understand? There are both Anthro and regular Cows in the Disney universe, as well as Birds, Cats, Horses, etc. ...so why is it so unbelievable that there are both Anthro and Non Anthro Dogs in the same world as well?

Goofy is a Dog. No specific breed really...just a generic Dog Person.

Now PETE on the other hand...Cat?...Dog?...I'm just not sure what HE is supposed to be.

According to This Site Pete has been both a Cat and A Dog.

Black Pete (also known as Peg-Leg Pete and, simply, Pete) is a fictional character from the Walt Disney Company stables. He is an anthropomorphic cat (occasionally depicted with a pegleg), best known as the arch-nemesis of Mickey Mouse. Though he is usually associated with the Mickey Mouse universe, Pete actually appeared in cartoons long before Mickey, and is thus Disney's oldest continuing character.

Among younger fans, he was a relatively obscure character until appearing in the 1990s TV series Goof Troop. Oddly, Pete was portrayed as an anthropomorphic dog like the majority of other characters in that series, and later appearances in some Disney shows had some fans erroneously assume he was one.

Consiquently, the same site agrees that Goofy is a DOG.

Goofy is a fictional character from the Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse universe. He is an anthropomorphic dog and is one of Mickey Mouse's best friends. Sources including the Goof Troop television show reveal the character's full name to be Goofy Goof.
