That doesn't surprise me much. My first thought was that 616 could have been misinterpreted as being June 16th, but it actually makes more sense for it to have been a wordplay on "Nero."
Another interesting tidbit: The four beasts of the apocalypse are believed to represent four different kingdoms, the last one that "devours the world" being Rome.
As for my own obsession with werewolves, well... Yeah, in terms of my mentality, I do tend to be a little more, umm... What's a gentle way of putting it... Primal? Ultra-liberal? Er... For the sake of pride and a PG rating, I'll just leave it at that. The only thing is that lycanthropy is the primary subject of a book which I hope will spawn a series as extensive as the Forgotten Realms trilogies (I know that's a long shot, but hey, a cat can dream, can't he?), so since I can fudge it being work-related and call it a healthy obsession.
