A piddly comic book wouldn't be so great, but a 'graphic novel' has potential. There are some high-quality graphic novels out there. Ruse, Meridian, the Crow, Sojourn, and the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen come to mind. I think Ruse by CrossGen is an excellent example.
This is what I would expect if you want me to pay money for it:
Good art, not that silly comicky/cartoony style
Full color
Good, solid story
Of a decent size (say, at least as wide/tall as a comic book)
Of a good length (the story should range at least several hundred pages)
You can release it in issues as you go, but at the end there should be a soft-bound version that contains the entire story.
In short: a high-quality product
Otherwise, I just wouldn't bother.
If you want to do something like an online comic or a webcomic, that's an entirely different story, of course.
Oh, and I wouldn't do it on the Freeborn script either. If you want to base it on Freeborn, do a side-story in the same universe, but it would be a waste of time to just put the movie in alternate form. To tell the truth, I would shy away from Freeborn entirely, and put together a completely unique werewolf story.

Hmmmm.....Freeborn is the property of ABrownrigg. You need his permission 1st.
Also, what kind of story will it be? Something that leads up to the film?

Oh, sorry. I hit the quote button instead of the Post reply button.Xodiac wrote:Well, as I can't draw for %#&*!! my answer has to be, "You're asking me?"
This was a suggestion. Something I'd like to see. It's not, however, something I'm capable of actually doing.
Had a long day and I'm very tired.
Let me edit that post above.
I thought I should post a link to a similar topic so you can see some other ideas too.
