I really think they should have an age thing at the side too, maybe you should suggest that in the forum modifications area. Even though it would be adding yet more info to the side, it would be great for an idea of how old the person is.
Though you must remember, sometimes not everyone acts their age, most people seem to act their shoe size.

Have you ever been asked:Wolfhanyou wrote:Heh. When I was twelve most people thought that I was 16 or 15 because of the way I roleplay. And now I'm thirteen and I'm starting to be mistaken as a guy.
"So, how old are you miss? 12? 13?"
Me ---> "I'm 16, thank you."
That is what they said when I was trying out for the art job today.

No, no I haven't. Though I've been told I look younger than I am. My examples up there are from when I'm on the internet.Hamster wrote:Have you ever been asked:Wolfhanyou wrote:Heh. Boo
Oh, it's the internet, it happens. Heck, many people I've met in RL are surprised when I tell them my age.
"You're 20!? Whoa."
"Yeah, what's so weird about it?"
"Nothing..."
"C'mon, what?"
"Nothing!"
It's actually pretty annoying.

Do we really need the solution? Couldn't we just enjoy the problem for now?

)
Wow....
Well, that shows how good I am at telling people's gender...

I tend to mistake people for being younger through their typing. It seems as though people my age are stupid, not all, I've met alot of smarter people my age, inculding here don't worry, that debunk that. Apparently it still seems as though some of the people are running around with their stupidity, I'm guessing stupidity just sticks out more than intelligence. Normally I don't hang out with a group of younger people, unless they're reasonable, but that just makes me hypocritical because I'm younger too.
Otherwise I remember joing Neopets four years ago when I was nine. I visited just like a month ago to check out the forums, oh the stupidity to be found behind every crack and corner! Ack!
I'm happy I don't run into stupid people here much.

Indeed, quality of language can be a function of age, but it can also depend on location--people speaking (or typing) a secondary language might sound younger or less intelligent than they actually are, simply because they're having to work with a narrow vocabulary and unfamiliar language architecture.
For example, I'm stuck working with English, because there's no keyboard for Wolven Thought Code 1.0, or its Cozalien precursor. English is a very asymmetric language, and it requires a mashed-in face, a dinky little tongue, and short, squatty teeth to sound right.

Taking a Gestalt approach, since it's the "in" thing...
