great... my biggest fear has *some* chance of becoming a reality... :(
for those of you who don't know (all of you). that would be: becoming a victim of mind-control.... imagine having no will of your own, being forced into slavery with virtualy no escape. :shudder:

honestly they should stop this from being developed, considering that it could be the thing that brings slavery back as one of the biggest problems ever

then again, our race did build enough nukes to blow up the world 11 times... i guess it was in case the first 10 salvos missed.

It's not really mind control, though.

It's not mind control so much as body control. And, it's not like we didn't know it was coming, sooner or later. One of the trade-offs of advancing biotechnology.

This is party tricks compared to what will happen by the time we reverse-engineer the brain. The upside is, we'll be able to make virtual realities where this kind of technology can be used to simulate the experience of shapeshifting for the first time.

:borgwolf:

Locutus: "Your life as it has been is over. From this time forward, all your base are belong to us..."

Riker: "Mr. Crusher, move Zig..."

to be continued...
Taking a Gestalt approach, since it's the "in" thing...

Hehe. Once we get that kind of technology, we might not need to simulate shapeshifting... :)

Interesting.

The use in video game intrigues me. Think of virtual swordfigghting and having that thing off-balance you when your oppoent 'hits' you. Would be so cool. 8)
