Anything good on the fridge?

Anyone else think modern technology is a bit weird in how it swaps function? Never mind that cell phones have clocks, cameras, and music players. They've now put out kitchen appliances that have TVs built in.
It won't be long before we find ourselves having conversations like this:
"What time is it?"
"The coffee pot says it's after two. Anything good on the fridge?"
"I'll check the phone."

That's just crazy man. Imagine when we can coffee cups with TV screens in them

Ya know - except for rear-illumination, I might be able to make one. But, there might not be a safe place to grab the mug, and I can't make it microwave safe. Microwaves have a habit of killing electronics.
Is it doable? Yes. Am I going to do it? If I had the time...

Would it be safe to grab if it had a handle? It probably wouldn't be dishwasher safe either

You should do it if you have the time, patent it, and try and make a few bucks off of it

Remember the cereal box in
Minority Report?
The only scenario where I could picture a fridge with a TV being a halfway decent idea is in some tiny-a** half-a-studio apartment like the one Bruce Willis lived in in
The Fifth Element, and while I do agree that it'd be nice to build up instead of outward to preserve what little wildlands we have left, I don't think we're that cramped just yet.
