Top Loaded Dryer pics

Post by fredriksam »

At my job i collect and recycle washing machines, dishwasher and dryers. A few weeks ago we had a very interresting dryer there. It was a top loaded one.

It was sold here in Sweden in 1975 and one year later it dissapeared because there was a lot of fires with this machine. The machine was made in Germany by Blomberg and was here in Sweden sold under the names: Electrolux, Elektro-helios and Siemens. However Siemens had problems with the delivery with their machines so the didnt sold so many.

It was a really fancy machine for its time. It had Electrods in the drum that "felt" when the clothes was dry. The electrods were connected to a electronic board. The fan and the motor however was not good enough to drive the drum. The dust and other stuff did not collect in the filter. It stayed in the machine until the fires erupted.
