Being Stalked

I'm being stalked by a guy off Myspace, I think. He just re-added me from a new account of his and didn't admit it's him, but I'm sure as hell that it's him.

I'm sick of his immaturity. He was over coarse and not the kind of thing I find romantic. Besides, I don't even do internet relationships. Even if he were to say he wasn't looking for that with me, the way he spoke to me sure sounded like he intended it.

I just had to get it out...I don't know if he's dangerous or not, he's just irritating mostly. Funny thing is, he tells me he's Steve Irwin's cousin, then declines to ever discuss his death (Making it assumed that he was distraught, or simply a strategic liar). Why would you say something like that? I can't work it out anyway. Truly, I don't know what to say to the guy.

Well I doubt hes Steve Irwin's cousin...but there's nothing wrong with not talking about a death of a family member.

Yeah, Ive heard about stuff happening on MySpace all the time. It is indeed a creepy place.

Myspace ... I have hardly any real details on it at all, though. And all my photos have a wolf mask on (and I only recently added those...my face should not be anywhere online, I never ever show it). The thing with Myspace is that they can connect to real friends; what I'm afraid of, is that James will go and look up my Uni friends and discover what part of Australia I live in.

And yeah It's okay not to talk about the death of the family member...that's what people would normally do I suppose, I wouldn't want to talk either. The fact he changed topics so fast means either he's a really strategic liar (smart) or he's telling the truth.

Myspace is okay as long as you're careful with it I guess. I only use it to connect to real friends (real life friends) and the occasional shape shifter and werewolf fan, but mostly to discover new bands and such. I've met some amazing musicians and I have bought so many CD's!

Anyway thanks for the support, and please no one mention Freeborn on my comments page or anything, I'd rather James didn't show up here. He was weird for many reasons, I don't want to discuss, but a friend of mine and I thought it was pretty funny, he's just creepy.

This dude is either a sphyco and dangerous, or is some horny little turp that is trying to get his little hands wet buy trying to impress you by lieing that he's "I'm Steve Irwin's Cousin" and using the family member death thing to get your maternal instinct to comfort him. so you'll feel bad for him and evetualy sleep with him.

This is why i won't use MySpace or any internet dating service to hook up with avaliable women. You'll never know what's on the other side on that appealing prophile of a seamingly beautiful women. In real life she either could be sphyco or ugly as a rino's butt!

You should be alright as long he doesn't know where you live. Try telling him to take a hike and that you don't believe his bull crap and if he is really is steve's cousin tell him that he should be ashamed that he using his dead cousin to pick up unsuspecting women, and if he is still trying to get in your pants. Take a page from his book, and trash your old prophile and make a new one.

well, nah, i don't live life that way. i jus don't like myspace. i mean, i gots other websites where i can talk with my buddies, and i gots not too many reasons to use myspace.

i mean, there's bad things bout it, and not too many positive things bout it for me (at least not at the time. i guess mebbe i will have one in the future, but i kinda doubt it) so i don't use the site. that's all there is to it.

Anubis: Using the internet for dating is dumb, I agree. I've never done anything like that, and never intend to. I also think he's probably lying about his age, but even 15 year old boys can be dangerous. Recently, a 17 year old woman was raped by a 15 year old boy. She might have been older, as well, I can't remember.

A male friend of mine believes he's never actually had sex, and behaves in an inappropriate manner due to this. Not being a male myself, I don't know this. I yelled at James for a while and told him never to speak to me the way he was again, and eventually blocked him.

My hope is he doesn't pick on someone younger than me, like a really young person of 14 or something. Whether he really is dangerous or is simply a total idiot is beyond me.

Lucky I'm not a complete idiot and revealed nothing of myself during our talks. He only grew disgusting later in our conversations and I told him where to go. I upset him a few times, but that's what you get for talking to a girl like that. I asked him if he spoke to girls over dinner, this way. He certainly didn't deny it. No wonder the man is single.

Keep this in mind, he doesn't know where you live and he doesn't know what you look like. He can't touch you.

You can report him for cyberbullying and spamming. You can purge him from your Friends and set your profile to private. I just did that to lock spammers and stalkers out. I got sick of seeing women in teddies and negligees in my Friends Request box (no disrespect to lesbians and I don't go that way, but something like that is usually a front for some creep or a spammer). Remember, nobody can Friend you without your acceptance, you can Deny their request.

I trust you've taken those measures?

I think setting my profile to private is a grand idea, thanks.

He moved states too. That's what scares me. He just proved it's him. Lucky he doesn't know my name, he still calls me Kirk, but the thing is, he can actually find my name because of others. Once I know where he's moved to, I'm blocking him and setting my profile to private. Because I'm not a kid, my profile isn't automatically private and I only recently discovered that function, so I'm assuming we can all set it to private despite our age.

Thanks guys for these tips.

I only hope he didn't find my relatives' profiles or anything.

One of the reasons I think MySpace is creepy is because I always run across a girl I know from school and Im horrified at once because of the disgusting half naked pictures they have of themselves on there. It's trashy and not flattering and I think its gross.

And a lot of creepy people lurk there. But hey, thats just me.
