Human characteristics in gestalt form

Do you think a gestalt (or halfshifted/standung up) were would intentionally or subconciusly still do stuff like a regular person does? Say, for instance, he/she has to scratch their head. Would they just reach up and scratch it with their hand, or would they get down and scratch it it with their hind foot like a dog? What about other expressions like shrugging, nodding, scratching or stretching?

The answer to that is gonna be as varied as there are posters on this board.
I'm of the "Intelligent Werewolf" persuasion; hence- they'd do things the way they are most comfortable with as a Humanoid, rather than a Canid.
That's my opinion. There will be a million more....

In my thinking. I find myself agreeing with RedEye in saying that they would do things the way they are most comfortable with as a Humanoid rather than a Canid. But, if the werewolf is litterly a mix of wolf and man it could be that they would do things both wolfish and human. Such as they might shrug out of fustration and in the next moment growl. But, largely it would be the individuals personality that would come through. Some people are more in touch with their 'animal sides' so to speak than others.

I can scratch my ear with my foot--"in Smooth", so that's not a real good determiner.

Lemmesee: For the Human side: Nose-Picking? Belly scratching? Scratching other parts of the body (bet that Fur itches a bit). That'd be decidedly human.

For the Wolf side: Marking things as yours in a classic Canine way? Humping someone as a way of saying "hello"?

People do what they are comfortable with and familiar with, so even though he probably could move about on all fours and reach a foot behind his ear, he would be more accustomed to reaching back with his hands. Unless physically unable, most of the werewolf's emotions would be akin to humans. Even in full wolf form, human habits would not be easily broken.

We've mentioned the possibility of werewolves electing to live as wolves in the wild a few times before. That would be the one exception; werewolves more comfortable with their wolf half than their human half would have wolf habits.

So it's entirely a question of mentality, in which case it is a question of the individual.

That's a good point Terastas. There might be a few werewolves that elect to live as a wolf. In that case would the werewolf appear 100 % wolf in behavior or would it still retain the smallest bit of humanism? I only ask this because I think that even if they lived in the wild as a wolf they would probably still have some human behavior to them seeing as they do have a human side even if they deny it.
