Futurama werecar
Cathey and I caught a Futurama episode in which the robot Bender gets cursed with shapeshifting into an evil killer automobile--a werecar.

Of course, artificial shapeshifters is nothing new to many of us, who grew up on Transformers. Heck, I remember a short-lived Saturday cartoon in the mid-eighties called "Turbo Teen," about a guy who could become a sports car. But, it was still funny.[/img]

Taking a Gestalt approach, since it's the "in" thing...

That's a pretty good episode (but we're dealing with Futurama here, what episodes are bad?), but I didn't realize the Transformers connection until yesterday (this thread was a very surprising sight to see just a day after coming to that realization).

Here's the intro in all it's glory, just for you, Fig! Watch in excitement as he goes through a car wash and drives up stairs! I can see where Scott got the comparison. The transformations are very similar.Figarou wrote:Scott Gardener wrote: I remember a short-lived Saturday cartoon in the mid-eighties called "Turbo Teen," about a guy who could become a sports car.
