Hey guys. I just wanted to share a quickie. I've "adopted" a gray wolf in Idaho through the efforts of the Wolf Education Research Center (http://www.wolfcenter.org/default.asp). His name is Piyip, an adult wolf of a pack the center has called Sawtooth.
I know this sounds like a plug, but it's not really. I guess helping out this four-legged chap just gave me a warm feeling inside, and I just wanted to share.
Ooh, well congratulations! For $25, that's not bad at all. I checked out the site, and your wolf is adorable! I wish I didn't live in the Northeast so that I could visit a reservation like that.
Do you plan on visiting the reservation to visit your wolf?
Thanks, Lycanthropeful! I do want to visit the place someday. I live in the northeastern US, so it would be difficult; but maybe I'll find the wherewithal to see it sometime. There used to be a lot of wolves near where I live. In fact there's even a road here called "Wolf Hollow" because of the abundance of gray wolves that used to live there. Not so much any more now, though.
Piyip is pretty nifty, isn't he? I'm glad that the folks at the center are helping his pack survive.
Congrats! I want one too now... but like that's going to happen. I sure hope you can visit him soon.

Why do people say they care?
And never ask of your despair?
Why do people say they know?
Then off the cliff and down they go.
Why do people think they're glad?
When deep down inside they're truely sad?
Why am I the only one who sees?
I guess that no one else believes.
