I like alot of others too, like Inuyasha (starting to get long in the tooth though, should hury up and end. My interest is fading.) Trigun, Fooly Cooly (Grade A insanity!

Was pretty good besides that.

Yeah, one of the odder anime's i've seen due to the fact i only seemed anime in its art style, not much else. It was like a Horror movie, everyone dropped like flies all the time.Lupin wrote:Blue Gender, was that the one with those bug things?

The only series I currently have any kind of interest in lately is Samurai Champloo, but it's still not as good as Cowboy Bebop.

You can find fan-sub Anime through the BitTorrent networks, though there's an honor code agreement to stop distributing any title as soon as it becomes licensed for sale in the U.S., since the bulk of the Anime fan-sub trade is targetted there. (Hence the subtitling in English--which is lucky for England and Australia.) Obviously, the Japanese get first dibs on just about all of it.
I was an Anime fan back in the early 1990s, back when it was still a cult phenomenon. My sister's boyfriend introduced her and me to it, though we had seen Star Blazers, Robotech, Battle of the Planets, and other shows that were adapted by dubbing and re-scripting Anime titles. He took both of us to A-Kon back in 1993, when it had about 500 people attending. I've been to every one since. (Anthony and Silver have been good friends with Meri Clark, the founder of the convention, and have been appearantly heavily involved with the convention for at least as long as I've been showing up.)
A-Kon was for awhile my primary source of Anime, until it started being more readily available in the late 90s.
Shows that I'm currently following include Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Heat Guy J (which does have a werewolf), and Nightwalker: Midnight Detective. I've got the full set of Wolf's Rain.
Favorites would have to include a lot of the new ones I'm following, Wolf's Rain (gee, big surprise), Princess Mononoke, Macross Plus, Urusei Yatsura, and Dominion: Tank Police. I'm also fond of the artwork of Clamp (R.G. Veda, X.) Given how much I like Masamune Shiro's work, I'm interested in seeing the new Appleseed. Likewise, I'd like to see more of Cowboy Bebop, given how much I like the music of Yoko Kanno. (Ghost in the Shell: SAC is kind of a dream-team feature to me--Shiro, Kanno, and existentialist philosophy all at once.)
