There's still a lot of pieces being picked up around here, too, in the Beaumont / Port Arthur area. (I'm at work. I commute there from the Houston area, where I live at home.) I still see a lot of wreckage, even though the power lines are mostly back up; a lot of damaged trees, fences are gone, and a lot of houses have temporary plastic wrappers and patches as they await new roofs.

I live!! Only just got my power back this Friday. I almost went through my video game collection, kissing every one, which would have been slightly unpleasent considering the fact that some are dusty.

You don't know the meaning of the word bored until you're trapped in your house with nothing to do because you and about a million homes and businesses within at least a ten-mile radius are without power...

And the freezing showers...

Awww poor you . I feel bad for you having to go through all that. Im glad you have your power back on. Mabey this will remind you to not to take electricity for granted.

Ouch. If I lived in an area that had the risk of losing power like that, I would invest in a good generator. And even more batteries for my UPS.
