Quite frankly, I don't think the selection should be random at all. I think it should be based on how much you've contributed to the pack (which is not directly related to post count or join date, but often correllates...though not all the time. There are some people in this pack who have massive numbers of posts, but have actually said very little than can be helpful, and vice versa). AB and Silver are both around here often enough to get an idea of who contributes and who doesn't.
I don't think that would be a good idea, actually. Mainly because you're asking Anthony to list out everyone on their contribution to The Pack -- which would be a very subjective and difficult task. I'm doubtful it's something our already busy Director could manage to do. So, his Solution? Set down a few rules, and start randomly picking people from there. If I were him, I'd probably of done the same.
Well, it's not like the several hundred people that are registered to this forum all have to be chosen from. There are only about 20 of us are so that are active and contribute a lot.

BUT, regardless of whether that is possible or not, I also made this suggestion:
...or if it is decided randomly, the criteria to be a part of the 'random pool' should be upped substantially, IMO.
Also, keep in mind that, as someone who read the script in January, you are unlikely to be able to truly understand how a member of the forum who has been here awhile and offered lots of opinions, but hasn't gotten to read the script yet, feels.

And remember also, that I said this:
But anyway, these are just my thoughts. It's AB and Silver's script, so it's up to them to handle it as they wish.
I truly do feel this way. It's not my script, so it's not up to me to decide how it's handled. I wish the best of luck to AB and Silver, however they choose to handle all things like this in the future.

Haha you're very right there, there's a lot of idiots who say that to you.

We're on here to chat, make friends, and help promote a movie! 8) Which I wish the best to very much! And I'm I guess I'd say a newbie myself. Ive only recently found the time to go online at all.

Well, basically Im just glad to be here with some werewolf friends, regardless of a pendant or a script, which isnt what matters. What also matters is getting the film to the world. Which I intend to help do! :howl: :oo I think it's brilliant Anthony and co are 'rewarding' The Pack for what they've done, but I want to make a contribution in order to earn it, I suppose. So yeah I don't think newbieness matters either.

Haha but those freeloaders...shame on them! Don't worry Herpscott I don't think you're at all a freeloader either :P

I am glad to know that I am not the only one that has had some negative backlashes about participating in an online forum or two. Part of my rant earlier was that I guess I feel like I should go find people in my life that I can relate too and so should all of you. This is an archaic way of thinking for me now, because I realize that sometimes there are parts of yourself that you cannot always express with those in your life. By that, I mean, that there is probably a very small percentage of frequent posters on here that can, in their life, call someone up or meet someone for java and discuss transformations, werewolf lore and mystery, and some of this kinda offbeat stuff. Therefor, we must outlet some of our personality and these forums are the way to do that. Yes off topic ... sorry. :P

Now, I am sorry Renorei, but I must interject about a word that you used in your most recent response (also off topic). I noticed that you used "irregardless." The anal retentive jerkwad in me comes out with this word. "Regardless" is the correct word for your usage. "Irregardless" is erroneous and not appropriate. OK folks that is the grammar lesson for today...

Corrected.

I've gotten used to being satisfied with outletting a part of my personality online. Online, I can be my true self, while in RL, I have a reputation to uphold.

That's something I've been worrying about for a while.

I actually made a thread about that awhile back, addressing my concerns.

Guys! Sorry I know Im off topic.

Yeah I know what you mean I don't know any werewolf fans in real life. Or any therianthropes, or any shape shifter geeks, or anything. I know some comic book geeks like myself, and any TV show that's supernatural fantasy, geeks, but no werewolf geeks. This forum has offered me a lot. Thanks guys. -There is a collective 'aww' from outside somewhere-.

Hmm where'd that come from? :o

Anyway. I guess the influx of people can either be good or bad, but once I start 'Australian Advertising' the film, which I really hope to do, we may get more fans who may want to see it.

I am HIGHLY offended that you referred to us as "Geeks!" I prefer "dorks" or "nuts."

Just kidding! :P

:P Haha I get called geek, weirdo, freak, nut, dork, you name it, the lot. And I don't care a bit anymore. Probably did as a kid, but I celebrate individuality, so now they are compliments! Haha. I occasionally still watch Pokemon. Ahem...

Well, the reason I joined was to give the director my input on what the werewolves in the movie should look like. I'm a werewolf fan just like the rest of you, but I didn't join just to get free stuff.

1. I've never even seen the script before and I really don't care because, I know with all of our input; that this movie will be great.

2. My mom won't let be give out my address to some strange person online, because in the past there was someone online who wanted me to meet him in real life. I said no and haven't talked to anyone online since. Until I joined the pack. THIS IS FOR THE PENDANT THING.

Oh, and I don't mean to be the outcast, but does it really bother you guys when new people get the script before older ones??? I mean you guys are just making such a big deal about it when its not. Does it bother you that much??
I mean so what if they joined just to see the script. They could read it and like it so much; that they start telling all their friends and family about freeborn, so the more people that like the script, the more people will see the movie and freeborn will make a lot of money.
Oh, and the new people that joined just for the script could become new werewolf fans. That script could possibly spark new interest, so shouldn't everyone have a chance to read it.

Ditto with me. At first I just wanted to join cause it seemed like a cool forum and its the first werewolf forum that I have ever been to, but then I read that the director is in here and is trying to make a movie based on our view and I wanted to be a part of this so badly. I really did found this forum by complete accident during my search on google images, its that werewolf paw that caught my eye.

I know that I may not have been a member long, but I have been keeping tabs on this site for awhile now even before I was a member. I for one tend to be a rather quiet person and alot of my oppinons were voiced before I would have had a chance to say it in the topic. I know I should have became a member sooner, but it doesn't mean that I was trying to 'get anything' from this project. I think it is wonderful that AB has gone over and beyond to make this a wonderful thing for all pack members and I am grateful for everything he has done and continues to do. I would never want to come off as a freeloader, but at the same timeI am really excited as well about Freeborn despite my lack of posting.

I hope I made sense and didn't come off as defensive.

It really shouldn't matter how much posting you do.
Oh, and don't worry you haven't offended anyone. :D
